Chromatouch specialises in video work, and is proficient in all aspects of the medium from filming (both live camera work and filmmaking) and animation (3D, flash, stop motion) through to editing and post production. DVD authoring, internet streaming, presentation and installation is also no problem…

Most of the video skills go into the production of visual loops for VJ work, But there are instances where this isn’t the case and commercial work has been undertaken:

  • Birmingham Thinktank – science museum permanent exhibits: local scientific heroes, collections community project, Railton Mobil Special land speed record car and tram history.
  • Big Cat Group – Radio 1 Amsterdam booze cruise filming and editing.
  • Channel 4 Ideasfactory – Creative Festival launch at Birmingham Custard Factory.
  • Audiences Central – The Big Picture launch party 3 screen photo wall.

One of the first things i did as a video artist was to make a short film entitled Beginning, Middle, End. It is silent. Vivid helped me set up the shoot back in 2003, and i had the very talented team of Chris Plant, Jon Harris, Matt Higginbottom, Chris Keenan helping out.

The fulldome stuff I’ve been working on has combined my skills in all these areas.

I’d like to work more in a post production capacity to polish my skills in After Effects .
